Specialist, Restaurant Applications


Position Purpose
Responsible for administering and providing application support for Aloha, QSR Automation, Hot Schedules, Open Table, On Line Ordering, All Loyalties Applications, and any future software CraftWorks purchases. Ensure that upgrades and application changes/enhancements are tested, documented thoroughly, and implemented successfully.

POS Menu Management (new menus, LTOs, Special Events, promos, comps, etc)

Accurate and timely programming

Provide restaurant remote support

Accurate and Timely completion of incidents

Work with other Craftworks business units and ensure proper implementation, communication and support of new menus deployments

Maintain professional and respectful relationships through phone calls, emails and restaurant visits


Position Essential Functions
  • Installs, implements, administers, supports, and maintains third party applications
  • Program, maintain and support all Craftworks restaurant POS Menus
  • Monitors designated applications and takes corrective action to prevent or minimize system down time
  • Troubleshoots to resolve system related problems; coordinates with relevant System Administrators and/or third party vendors regarding user support and problem resolution
  • Monthly audit with Accounting team on credit card discrepancies
  • Creates user documentation and may train personnel on new applications software
  • Provides upper level support to users having difficulties with applications
  • Collaborates on special projects
  • Supports and serves as a technical expert for CraftWorks in all stages of development, testing, and production
  • Keeps current with the latest technology; regularly attends technical training in order to maintain technical expertise

  • Strong customer service skills
  • Strong computer skills that include the Microsoft Office Suite, Point of Sale (POS) systems required; Experience with Aloha package software and QSR Automation preferred
Education and Experience:
  • Associate’s Degree in IT or equivalent work experience required
  • 2 – 4 years’ experience in an IT environment working directly with POS software required
  • Restaurant or multi-unit retail industry experience preferred
Work Environment

Typical Work Hours: 8am – 5pm (Mon – Fri); other hours as needed for work completion and on call support

Activity: Sitting for long periods of time; Ability to Lift/Carry up to 25 lbs

Physical Environment: Office environment

Travel Frequency: Minimal (Less than 10%)
